This is embarrassing but . . just keeping it real.
A while back, I ordered a new serger and had never even opened the box it came in. Sewing the doll clothes, I really needed the serger. Briefly, I looked down at the old serger that has been sitting on the table since I gave up trying to get it to work.
That’s a Bernina serger that I bought probably in 1990. It’s had a lot of use and a bit of abuse. I thought about taking it apart and trying to figure out what’s wrong with it and said NO! I’m going to open the box with the new serger, figure out how to thread it and use it.
That’s the biggest way I feel my age – not willing to try new things as readily as I once would.
I opened the box, figured out how to thread it and am happy to be using it!
Crazy that it was purchased in July, 2017 so it’s been sitting here for three years not being used.
